Target Express has won a new three-year deal with UK Leisurewear to distribute goods both internationally and around the UK.
UK Leisurewear, a promotional and corporate-wear specialist, has not disclosed the value of the contract but said that it is a “multimillion pound deal.”
Tracy Richards, managing director at UK Leisurewear said: “We are a company with very ambitious growth plans, and Target’s ability to adapt to our evolving needs was a key reason behind selecting them as our nominated carrier for all UK and International deliveries.”
Target’s own IT team has recently completed the development of a bespoke software package to provide increased control over the delivery process.
Richards said: “The new system developed by Target will speed up the delivery process for us. Efficiency is a key issue as our last orders are taken at 4.30pm, and customers are guaranteed delivery for the next day before noon.”
Target has also developed a co-branded liveried trailer for the account.
